I wanted to create an app that people wouldn't just want, they would need it. This is the Smart Cart app, which helps you create lists, import those lists for shopping and view shopping history.
Since this app will be used (more than likely) while people are walking through the store, I made the buttons large and sections color coded. One of my requirements was that I make the app functional above aesthetic.
This app went through 7 rounds of user testing and 18 users. It was conceived and created over a period of 3 weeks.
I wanted the app to calculate your total as you shopped. As well as have the functionality to import a list and keep track of past spending practices.
These three basic parts would be accomplished by color coding the different parts of the app.
